About the project

SAILGREEN is an Erasmus+ Sport project addressing sustainability in sport, with a focus on sailing. The project promotes the integration of green skills and environmentally responsible practices into sailing education and training. By linking sport, environmental awareness, and youth engagement, SAILGREEN contributes to marine protection, waste reduction, and the mitigation of the environmental impact of sport-related activities.

Goals

  • To promote sustainability and environmental awareness in sailing and grassroots sport
  • To integrate green skills into sailing training and educational practices
  • To raise awareness on marine protection and climate change among young people
  • To support sailing clubs and educators in adopting environmentally responsible approaches
  • To encourage sustainable attitudes and behaviours through sport participation
