The Rural Village Training

Digital Skills and Innovation for Rural Tourism
Small-scale Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training – KA210-VET

About the project

The Rural Village Training is an Erasmus+ project designed to strengthen digital skills and support the modernisation of rural tourism through vocational education and training.

The project responds to the digital skills gap faced by rural tourism professionals, entrepreneurs, SMEs and local communities. It will provide practical and accessible training in areas such as digital marketing, e-commerce, social media management, online positioning, digital booking systems and the use of technology for tourism services.

By combining face-to-face and online learning, the project aims to make digital training accessible to people living and working in rural areas while supporting entrepreneurship, employability and sustainable local development.

A particular focus will be placed on practical learning, real-life cases, innovation activities and the use of digital tools that can improve the visibility and competitiveness of rural businesses.

Objectives

  • Strengthen the digital skills of rural tourism professionals, entrepreneurs and SMEs.
  • Improve the capacity of rural businesses to use digital marketing, e-commerce, social media and online services effectively.
  • Develop practical and transferable VET training resources adapted to rural contexts.
  • Support employability, entrepreneurship and the competitiveness of rural communities.
  • Reduce the digital divide by providing accessible learning opportunities for people with different levels of digital competence.
  • Promote sustainable and innovative approaches to rural tourism.
  • Strengthen cooperation between businesses, VET providers, local authorities and other rural development stakeholders.
  • Encourage the internationalisation and visibility of rural tourism businesses.
